It was a perfect morning on the water. No wind, beautiful temperature and willing fish. They weren’t large but they were plentiful and heavily feeding throughout the harbor; from the airport flats to Quincy and Hull Bays. My friend Norm joined me for a short trip, just a few hours of dropping tide and slack water. And the fish continued to feed thou not as aggressively thru the slack, willingly taking our flies and lures. It didn’t matter to them what we threw out; anything and everything worked. So, as a new school year begins so too are the stripers schooling up and feeding before their long journey south.
I have a few dates still open before I pull the boat on October 9.
